About The Villa

With spectacular views from its lofty perch, five hundred metres above sea level, this truly inviting luxury villa looks out across the Niccone Valley to the peak of Monte Acuto. Well positioned for Umbrian and Tuscan exploration, Perugia, Assisi, Siena and the Chianti vineyards are all within easy reach for a day trip; and Golf Antognolla and water sports at Lake Trasimeno are each just 30km away. But, while it’s nice to know the available options, the house does a great job of encouraging pure relaxation, especially when cook service is added. Restored to a very high standard by its British interior designer owner, the villa’s ground floor is a trio of rooms divided by broad arches, the kitchen meeting the central vaulted dining area, which is open to the huge beams, big fireplace and designer sofas of the sitting room, from where double doors lead out to a covered terrace. The upper floors are occupied by four beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms. And there is a well-proportioned pool in gardens peppered with pine, fig and pomegranate trees. There are a selection of family run local restaurants in the surrounding countryside and fine dining at the internationally renowned Castello di Reschio. Il Molino is 5km from a small shop in Spedalicchio,  with further amenities at Mercatale and 15km from a wide choice of amenities in Umbertide. There is also wine tasting locally or further afield in the wine centres of Torgiano and Montefalco.
