La Lavandaia, one of several villas in Borgo Pignano, Tuscany, is a beautifully restored country estate surrounded by olive groves, orchards, meadows and lakes. The Valdarno chickens that roam among the olives provide free-range eggs; the Cinta Sensese pigs yield aged prosciuttos, the bees yield honey, and the vineyards provide wine.
